Supreme Wake Surf Championships Wrap-up

Saturday, March 22nd, 2014

I kicked off the 2014 season in Parker, Arizona … wait a minute!  They copied my name… ok, maybe not. 🙂

Anyway, being the first competition of the season it was like a family reunion.  So cool to see everyone again.  We had a lot of fun and the setup was awesome – hotel, cantina, cable park all right on the water.  The wind was up and down at times but didn’t hold a candle to the winds last year down in Mexico. Overall, the venue and weather were great for some wake surfing.

Although I didn’t surf as well as I have been, I’m happy to report winning second place in Men’s Outlaw Surf division.  There were some great guys in my group and I have fun with them whether we surf or not!

And I don’t know how I did it but I ended up breaking a small bone in my foot.  I’ve got a boot on and will probably be out of training for the next month.  No surfing, no skate boards and no trampoline for a month!?!  Not sure what I’m going to do!

Can’t wait to get back on the water!

Cranking Up The 2014 Season

Monday, March 3rd, 2014

I’m back in Southern Florida enjoying some time riding in the “no wetsuit zone”.  Weather is good, water is good and we’re having fun wake surfing every day.  First competition is just two weeks away in Parker, AZ.  Time to crank things up!  I posted a few seconds of video on Instagram yesterday.  If you’re not already following me please go check it out! @parkerpaynesurf
